Novel award

A few months back I reviewed The Trojan Project by Eileen Thornton ((Austin & Macauley paperback, £8.99). I've just heard from Eileen that the book has been entered for the Desmond Elliott Prize 2009. It has to be a first novel and a page-turner and the book qualifies on both counts.
